If you have read my about page, you probably know why I started this venture, and as I said before, becoming a mother was one of the biggest reasons. I wanted to be able to tell my son with certainty that anything is possible, and that if you work hard and do what you love, life will flourish and give you back tenfold. Growing up to a single mother, I knew first hand what the struggle was about when it came to personal finances and school tuition. I was so determined in getting a stable income that I chose to go into the cut-throat field of finance. Let me tell you, I was not the best at math, but I had a strong personality, partly because of my heritage, and mainly because of the fierceness and matriarchal exposure I had when I was little. I won't use this comment to throw some dirt on the field I worked in for so long, but know this; I disliked the person I had become, I kept on thinking to myself, this can't be it. I mulled over these feelings for a long time, and together with a high state of complacency I sat and watched time go by. Trust me when I tell you, it is never too late to change your current predicament. We are only bound by the limitations our minds impose on us. I called this little rant Beginnings, because starting this business and making it flourish is my goal. This is my way of saying to myself " ok, that was good, but lets do this over and make it excellent". Just as nature teaches us about drying up and dying, when the cycle turns, we are blooming and beginning once more. Thank you for stopping by and reading a little about my window of perspective.
